Marketing Program

The Marketing department includes associate degree programs that aim to provide fifth-level academic and professional qualifications.

The department was opened for the first time as formal education under the name "marketing and sales management" in the 2006-2007 academic year. In later years, the name of the program was changed to marketing and advertising. Evening education was opened in the 2009-2010 academic year, its last graduates were in 2020, and student admission to evening education was terminated.

The student quota of the program is 35 people. Entry to the program is determined by the Student Selection and Placement Center (SSPC) within the framework of the relevant legislation of the Higher Education Council (HEC). The language of instruction of the program is Turkish. The education period is two years, and in order to graduate from the program, 120 hours of courses must be taken within the framework of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and a 30-day practical internship must be completed.

Purpose of the Program:

The marketing program focuses on "sales management" and meets the needs of businesses for intermediate staff in marketing and sales. The program also aims to provide graduates with the knowledge and skills to start their own business in the field of sales and marketing.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies that Students Will Possess:

Marketing associate degree students gain basic knowledge in business management, communication and marketing. Students gain skills in oral and written communication, data analysis and networking. Graduating from the program requires completing the theoretical courses as well as completing an internship in local businesses. In addition to core job requirements, programs also have general education requirements such as writing, humanities, mathematics, and social sciences. Course topics for the program include:

Ability to use package programs such as CRM, MRP, ERP, as well as Office programs required in the professional field.

Career and Degree Completion:

Graduates of the program can work in businesses under the general title of marketing professional in sales areas with the titles of sales representative, sales chief, sales auditor, sales manager, or they can work as researchers in market and marketing research companies.

Vertical Transfer Opportunities to Undergraduate Education:

Marketing department students can transfer vertically to Open Education Undergraduate programs without an exam after graduation. In order to obtain a bachelor's degree in formal education, transfer can also be made after the vertical transfer exam opened by OSYM.
