Economic development is only possible with trained humanpower. Vocational education, on the other hand, is to make the future better, livable and brighter by blending the knowledge gained with knowledge and advanced technology and transferring it to the students and then to the region, country and the whole world. The aim of Biga Vocational School, which was established with this awareness; Our aim is to provide students with technological professional knowledge and to enable them to develop their social skills and to integrate them into society as modern citizens who can think independently, do research and make the right decisions, and have creative thinking.
Biga Vocational School, which started education within Trakya University in the 1990-1991 academic year, was affiliated with Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, which was established in 1992 with Law No. 3837. In our Vocational School, which had Electrical, Automotive, Computerized Accounting and Tax Applications and Greenhouse programs during this period, Leathercraft and Dairy and Products Programs were opened in 1994.
Our Vocational School will start from the 2021-2022 Academic Year with Prof. Dr. Education continues in the new service buildings located in Ramazan Aydın Campus and there are 12 formal education programs. There is no student intake quota for our evening education programs and the Metallurgy Program.
Our programs with student admission quotas; Electricity (formal education), Electrical Energy Production, Transmission and Distribution (formal education), Machinery (formal education), Dairy and Products Technology (formal education), Food Technology (formal education), Automotive Technology (formal education), Furniture and Decoration (formal education), Marketing (formal education), Accounting and Tax Applications (formal education), Business Management (formal education), Local Governments (formal education), Cooperatives (formal education). The new service buildings of our Vocational School have a closed area of 8345 square meters and there is a student canteen.
Students studying in the Electricity, Mechaneriy, Accounting and Tax Applications programs of our Vocational School can complete their education in relevant sectoral institutions and organizations by taking the Workplace Application Training course, which has been added to the fourth semester of the education programs since the 2019-2020 Academic year and must be chosen as an elective course by students. Basic principles, rules and methods regarding the conduct and evaluation of the Workplace Practice Training course for the purpose of on-the-job training, preparation for the profession, increasing the knowledge and skills required by the profession and developing professional skills; It is carried out according to Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Vocational Schools Workplace Practice Training Directive.
EDUCATION AREAS
Classrooms: There are 18 classrooms, 4 workshop classes and 1 technical drawing class in our Vocational School, and there are projectors in our classes and workshops.
Meeting Hall: There is one meeting room in our school and it is equipped to meet your needs.
Conference Hall: Our Vocational School has a modern conference hall with a capacity of 115 people, where scientific activities such as conferences, seminars, panels and presentations are carried out, and where the furnishings and sound system are adequately designed. In our conference hall, in addition to our faculty members, experts in their fields have the opportunity to exhibit their scientific works.
