Furniture and Decoration Program is a four-semester Higher Education Program that aims to train qualified intermediate staff who offer job opportunities in the public and private sectors in the field of Furniture and Interior Architecture.

Vocational School Furniture and Decoration Program started its 2006-2007 education and training activities. As of the 2023-2024 academic year, the program accepts students according to the TYT score type according to the ÖSYM exam regulations. In the program, students are given theoretical and practical training for their fields as well as basic courses. Students enrolled in the program are required to pass all courses in the curriculum with a total of 120 ECTS / ECTS in order to graduate from the program and to complete 30 working days of industrial training internships. The program provides education with a quota of 30 students. The language of instruction of the program is Turkish.

Program Aim

The aim of this program is to produce graduates who can take part in all processes of industrial furniture production and interior fittings, have advanced research and problem solving skills, creative, objective and analytical thinking.

Program Objective

To train Furniture and Decoration Technicians with high professional knowledge, innovative, productive, entrepreneurial, social and technical communication skills.

Degree Awarded

Students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive an associate degree in Furniture and Decoration with the title of Technician.

Competencies and Career Opportunities for Students

In order to provide our Furniture and Decoration Technician students with the necessary education and training in the ever-changing and developing field of furniture and interior architecture, seminars, panels and conferences are organized in cooperation with DOĞTAŞ Furniture and business visits are organized. Students who graduate from the Furniture and Decoration program have the opportunity to work in all departments of public and private sector enterprises (design, production planning, packaging, quality control, marketing and interior architecture office and application areas), especially in production.

Vertical Transferable Departments

Graduates of the Furniture and Decoration Program have the right to continue to an undergraduate program related to their graduation area if they succeed in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM. Four-year undergraduate departments that can be transferred by Vertical Transfer Exam:

They can easily work in interior design offices and application areas.

Graduates of the Furniture and Decoration program can work in public institutions, private workplaces or after meeting the legal requirements, they can open their own workplaces and work very easily.
