In the 1992-1993 academic year, the accounting and tax applications program opened to education in 1992-1993 accepted the TYT score type students and it is necessary to complete 103 credits in order to graduate from this program. Our students have to do an internship 30 working days before graduating. An average of 50+2 students enroll in the program each year. Accounting and Tax Applications Program is within the scope of İKMEP (Project of Developing Human Resources through Vocational Training). The language of the program is Turkish.

Students of Accounting and Tax Applications Program can complete their trainings in the relevant sectoral institutions and organizations by taking the workplace application training course which is added to the fourth semester of the training programs for the academic year of 2019-2020 and which should be selected as an elective course. Basic Principles, Rules and Methods regarding on -the -job training, preparation for the profession, increasing the knowledge and skills required by the profession, and the execution and evaluation of the workplace training course for the purpose of improving professional skills; Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Vocational Schools Workplace Application Training Directive is done.

Purpose of the Program:

Accounting and Tax Applications Program, which serves in accordance with the accounting and tax department, contributes to the training of the accounting staff required by the market by trying to upload the theoretical and applied literature for accounting science at higher education level. In our program, the current accounting and tax applications required by the time are tried to be transferred to the students theoretically and practical based on the needs of the market, and the students are trained within the framework of current legislation.

The aim of the program is to train professional staff in the field of accounting to public and private sector enterprises. Students are given knowledge and skills to use technology as well as their basic accountant knowledge and skills during their education periods. Students who finish the program are given the title of associate degree with associate degree and accounting profession. The main objective of the department is to contribute to the level of employment of graduates in accounting offices, businesses in accounting departments and banks.

• To explain the importance and characteristics of accounting function for businesses
• To comprehend the importance of following the legislation on the profession
• To have information about occupational safety, occupational health issues related to the field of social security in accounting
• Information about bank Accounting
• To comprehend the basic concepts related to finance management, financial statements and accounting audit
• To recognize the documents used in foreign trade by understanding the importance of foreign trade, to learn to realize and account for foreign trade
• Explaining the importance of accounting and financial consultancy professional ethics
• To use computer package programs related to accounting and to make correspondence related to the field using a computer, store information, use stored information
• Gaining experience in research and application issues as individual or group.

Graduates can find jobs in accounting offices, accounting departments of enterprises and banks. If our graduate students want, they have the right to complete their undergraduate education by switching to the third grade of the Open Education Faculty of Open Education Faculty without examination.
